Shitlington
Crag Bunkhouse nestles beneath the south-facing sandstone
escarpment of Shitlington
Crag, amidst breathtaking Northumbrian scenery. The Pennine
Way passes only yards from the door, between Steelrigg and
Bellingham.
The
Bunkhouse is in a converted barn adjoining the proprietors'
home, and provides self-catering accommodation
for Pennine
Way walkers. It has magnificent views to all aspects and
will appeal to walkers who would prefer to spend the night
in a
wild location rather than descend to sleep in the town.
The
Bunkhouse is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and
climbers who would like to explore Northumberland. We are
located close
to the Roman Wall, Kielder Water and Forest, climbing crags
and many National Cycle tracks. Jo and Allister will be
happy
to assist you with planning walks, cycle routes, climbing
crags and visits to local places of interest. |
